The IPCC Default CO2 Emission Factor for Combustion for natural gas (56.1 kg CO2/GJ) is used and perfect combustion has been assumed.
* Biogenic CO2 emissions from the combustion of biomethane are generally considered carbon neutral and are not accounted for in the quantification of GHG emissions from a climate perspective.
** Natural gas leak rate from the fossil natural gas supply chain is assumed equal to 3.55%. It has been assumed a global warming potential 28 times greater than CO2 over a 100-year timescale
